if my real name, on apps and stuff, is christopher, but my sat score report says chris, will that be a problem? should i change it and resend scores as quickly as possible?

It might be a problem. I'd get it changed.

HOLY CRAP, that is a major problem.

The colleges will get your app and your scores but they will think it's two different people and put them in seperate folders.

here's what you can do:

Can each college up and tell them this.

on the Common App (if you are doing it) you can tell them your nickname so they can match it.

Good luck.

uuhhh...it shouldn't be a problem, I would think someone working in college admissions would be smart enough to know Chris comes from Christopher. I guess you can call them up to confirm, or just include a small note with your apps, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

i hope no one yells at me because I have a side question. For a school like Yale (common app), where you do not submit the online application in parts, and you send the application all at once (essays and bio information), is it OK to send your score report to them when you havent submitted your application? Do they start a file for you just becuase they have your SAT scores but nothing else yet? Thanks.
