In the "Standardized Tests" section of the Common App, there are several slots to put your test scores. If we took the SAT more than once, do we only fill in our best scores? Meaning that we'd only fill in 3 slots, Math, CR, and Writing. Because they'll see the other scores anyway on the separate score report.

The instruction on the application is pretty vague. This is what DD did, DD listed her highest scores.

I put in all my scores. I took six subject tests and so I included all six. I also took two SAT Is and listed both of them as well.

DD's reason for not listed all of them is that they have access to all her scores, ie there is nothing to hide. She listed the highest scores because she worried they might made mistake and took the wrong score. At least she put what she thinks is the highest scores. There are things that have come back to indicate people from the admission office at some colleges make mistake, eventhough when D went out of her way to make it clear, email is an example.

Thanks. Anyone else?? I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I only listed my Nov. scores which were my highest for all 3 sections. they'll get them all anyway but since all schools I know of only take the highest scores into account I don't see any reason to list all the others. No schools I'm applying to ask for SAT II's.

There was a post quite a few months ago in which student (then in high school, now in college) said that he heard from an admission officer that visited his high school that one of the best things to do on an application form is to be complete--period. This would be a good question to ask a bunch of admission officers to see what they think. Earlier in this school year it would have been easy to ask that question directly,

and that is the advantage of planning ahead. What I expect my children to do is to report absolutely all test scores.
