What exactly are SAT subject tests? Do I have to take the SAT Reasoning Test to take the SAT subject tests, or are they two separate tests?

I'm going to be a junior this year and need to get this all figured out. :P Thanks!

SAT subject tests are exactly what they say: an SAT-type test on a specific subject, provided by CollegeBoard. The SAT Subject Tests are entirely separate, yet still analogous, from the SAT Reasoning Test. Due to their subject-specific nature, they get pretty in-depth (much more in-depth than the SAT I)

For example, the SAT II (Subject Test) Math 2 is a test specifically on trig/precalc. The SAT II Physics test is explicitly on Physics. And so on.
