Okay, so I am taking the SAT tomorrow. It is the last test date for this year, I plan to take it the first date next school year, which is October 10. My question is I plan to apply to UNC early. Well, My scores from the second test will not be in in time for UNC to see them will they? What about regular decision.Would they be sent in time for them to see them.? Is there any real significant advantage from an admissions standpoint to apply early to Carolina?

I can’t say which is better from an admissions standpoint, but applying early relieves more stress than you could ever imagine! I was accepted early last year, and I honestly can’t imagine having to wait an extra three months. If UNC is your first choice, my personal recommendation would be to apply early, and if you are deferred, a higher SAT score from the second test may help. Also, I am guessing that applying early displays interest, etc.

So does anyone have any idea when my scores would probably be in? Yeah, I would much, much rather apply early for all the reasons you’ve stated, but I just am not sure when my scores from the Oct. 10 exam would be in for them to look at.

just look at the unc website. it says that they definitely accept scores from october and maybe even from november

Okay cool. I didnt see where it said that and was worried.

Dang, it was a long test. At least 5 hours. Fun way to spend my first weekend of the summer, haha.
