70/200? Wow..that's an insane number of applicants. Our school has around 5 applicants a year..

Original Poster, I am pretty certain that Berkeley combines all your SAT 1 and SAT 2 scores to get one number. So, overall, I think you're good to go.

^No, not true at all. A Berkeley rep I've been talking with has told me that SAT IIs are primarily used to figure placement (i.e. if you get 800 on Spanish you don't need to take Intro to Spanish). Although they do put some weight on them as far as admissions go, the amount is very small and they look more at GPA then SAT I. If they combined all the numbers then why do you think the UC system mandated that the Writing section (the old SAT II - Writing) be made an official part of the SAT I? I dunno, just my thoughts...

mrbobbaloo2k, you're right. I was thinking about the eligibility index.

i forgot to add that i took the SATs twice and the second time i only got 1980. does that lower my chances or do they only look at the higher score?

Also, regarding GPA, the UCs only look at sophomore and junior grades. Freshmen and senior grades are not really factored into the admissions process (unless you are accepted, in which a final transcript of your senior year will be sent in and they can choose to rescind your admission)

yeah i know. i calculated my UC GPA with only sophomore and junior year grades
