Question about scheduling interviews

Ok, so here's the problem.

I had an on-campus interview at Harvard. I can't remember what the interviewer's name was, because I've tried my best to forget that awful memory.

The supplement to the Commonapp requires International Students (I'm from Pakistan) to state if they have already had an ADMISSIONS interview. If not, then you are required to either say that you plan to have an interview (you need to give the interviewer's name in that case) or that you do not wish to have an interview at all.

Now, my summer on-campus interview was not really an ADMISSIONS interview, since it was more about me getting to know more about harvard, so I don't know if I should mention that in my supplement. Also, I can't remember the interviewer's name, so I won't be able to fill out the 'interviewer name' field.

Given this, how am I supposed to schedule an interview? If I DO plan to have an interview, how can I provide the interviewers name if I haven't even been contacted yet?

I hope that there are some international students with a kind enough heart to help me through this.

This page:

[Harvard College Admissions § Applying: International Interviews](http://admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/international/interviews.html)

…answers all of your questions. If you feel like mentioning your on-campus interview, go ahead.

how exactly am I supposed to ‘initiate’ contact with an interviewer?

is an interviewer’s contact information given on the harvard website? Is it emailed to you once you apply? If it is emailed to you once you apply, then how can you provide the interviewer’s name IN the application?

Well, the Common App has questions that don’t apply to all universities.

But you aren’t meant to initiate contact with an interview. If you read the page I linked to, you’ll see only students from the countries listed are expected to initiate contact. Pakistan is not a listed country - there probably aren’t enough alumni in the country to arrange interviews. If you keep reading it, you’ll see that:

“If the country you are applying from is not listed above, we may not have local interviewers or the number of applicants may be too great for all to be interviewed. Applicants from these countries will be contacted if the Admissions Committee requires more information.”

…so you do not need, and probably won’t get, a local interview - if Harvard wants to find out more they will get in touch directly.
