I graduated from high school in 2003, and I am about to apply to a community
college for the fall of 2007. I have been looking at a bunch of scholarships on fastweb, and I noticed that they say open to college freshman. I was wondering if I can apply for them, since I am not currently enrolled at the school, or do I need to wait until I have enrolled.

Hello? I have searched several other places and have not been able to find an answer. Does anybody know?

Many of the scholarships listed on fastweb are strictly for newly graduated high school students. However, as a financial aid counselor who works primarily with adults students returning to school after many years, I have seen a few come in with scholarships obtained through FastWeb. Another scholarship option would be to explore companies within your area. I have seen students obtain scholarships from churches, Avon, and other agencies most would never think of. Some businesses also offer tuition benefits to community members or employees. Regarding the ones on Fastweb, just read the print carefully. Some have specific age ranges, while others have just require one have no college credits. Just don't give up!!
