Question about Score Choice

Okay, so I've taken the SAT a few times. If I sent my test scores (the 4 that are free) to colleges that I was considering, they have them on file right?

This means, if I use ScoreChoice and I only send one score which looks like it's from the same date.. won't they know if I used Score Choice or not? I'm planning on using Score Choice b/c I've taken the SAT four times.. (including October) and the first three times just haven't been very strong.

All my colleges allow ScoreChoice, but I just feel bad putting down 4 SAT scores down.

Another question: Is it okay to send SAT scores to a college even if I didn't record on my application that I took the SAT? I don't want to send the SAT score unless I do well but by the time I get the SAT score back, my early action deadline will have passed.

“if I use ScoreChoice and I only send one score which looks like it’s from the same date… won’t they know if I used Score Choice or not?” This sounds like you´re talking about the SAT II subject tests, since with the SAT I the scores from all three sections from a sitting are always sent together. And yes, they would know that you were using score choice, if they had other scores on file, but they wouldn´t care since they accept that choice and will look at your best scores.
