question about SCORES!

I know that we can call in on July 1st to get our AP scores (is it ever earlier than that? I heard last year it was in June). But I read on the College Board that you need your AP number and I definitely do NOT have that. I didn't put my SSN on the registration stuff, either. Will I still be able to get my scores by phone or will I have to wait for the report to come in the mail? Is there some way I can get my AP number?

Also I know for the SAT you can see your scores early online by clicking something about sent scores to colleges.

Does this work for AP tests also?

I'm not sure if you NEED your AP number...but they do come out in June. Sorry I can't tell you more!

SAT cheat thing doesn't work any more.

AP tests don't even go online. So, no.

If you don't have your AP number and didn't put down your Social Security number, you can just call customer service and they will give you your AP number.

You cannot check AP scores online. "Officially", scores are available by phone on July 1st (for a fee). In the past, the scores by phone have been available a few days before July 1st. There's usually someone who calls every day, then posts here when they are up. You don't need your AP number if you put down your social security number.

I did that last year since I lost my booklet; it takes about 2 minutes and then you can recall (or have them transfer you) and get your scores.

So wait - we can call that early?
I've been thinking 'third week of July' for the longest time... you'd think after 3 years of calling in to get scores I would know this by now.

You're supposed to receive scores in the mail by the third week of July. However, it's almost always sooner than this. I'm in Canada and my scores arrived in the first week of July.

Last year, scores by phone were available on June 26th. Just keep in mind that this is CC. As someone already said, there is definitely more than one user here who will call every day and freak out when scores are finally available.

When getting your scores by phone, I believe that they ask you for your AP number and birth date. If you don't have your number, don't worry. Just call AP services sometime towards the end of June (around when scores will be available) and tell them your situation. They'll probably ask you for some information (birth date, address, grade, etc.) to verify that you are who you say you are, and then they'll give you your number.

what about for international students? is it possible for them to call in and get their grades?

^I'm pretty sure international students can, so long as they have their ap number (don't quote me on this).

Now I'm really nervous. I was thinking I had an extra 3 weeks before I could call in...

in my student pack, it gives a number under the AP Grades by Phone section for people outside the US, its territories, and canada, so im pretty sure that internationals can call too.

the number is 1-609-771-7366

So when you call....is everything automated? Ugg...it would be so horrible if it were a real person: "AP Number ###? Ah, yes...here we go...wow, who takes this subject? Oh yes, your scores, what a joke. You got a one. Just kidding! You got a five. Eight bucks please!"

=)

Yea, it would be really nice if they could just have scores online, like they do for the SAT.

placidia, yeah everything is automated (thank god)

Oh okay, one more question: when you report scores to colleges by phone, is it like the SATs where they report ALL past scores? Or do you have to do it individually?

bump... i have the same question as placidia

I think when you report it, all the past scores are on one report, so you only need to do it once.
However, I had a friend who had it on multiple reports because she reported her SSN once and not the other times.
