I have signed up for 3 SAT Subject Tests for the June administration: Math Level 2, Chemistry, and World History. I know I will do well on Math Level 2 and Chemistry, but I am really unsure about World History, as I am not too great with pure memorization of facts (which is essentially what the World test is). I am now regretting my decision of signing up for 3 tests. If I get a not-so-great score on the World History test, could I choose to hide it from colleges? I mean, places like JHU recommend 3 tests, so would it hurt me if I only submitted Chem and Math 2? What do you think?

You could take 2 and then take one or two more at a later date, so you have more time to prepare

Just take Math 2 and Chemistry, and don’t take World History (perhaps wait until Oct. if you believe more prep. could help). Some schools require you to submit all of the tests you take, so those schools will see the WH score. If JHU recommends 3 tests, then you should take 3 tests (it would probably hurt you if you don’t), but again i suggest waiting till october to take the third.

I’m already signed up for 3. Also, I will be retaking my regular SATs in October. And, I did the AP World History course this year. The AP test was of medium-hard difficulty for me, so how much different is the SAT World History test? What’s the curve? I need over a 750, preferably very close to 800.

If AP world history was hard… you probably shouldn’t’ take it.
The 5 required for World history is only like top 13 percentile, while the 800 for world history is most like the top 5 percentile

What other exam would be “easier” than world history? I haven’t taken AP Physics or AP Biology in school yet, so those are out and I haven’t done enough years in any of the foreign languages to take the SAT Subject Test in those exams. SAT Literature maybe?

Literature is hell…
well i mean, if you’re a social science person, you might get 750+ on world history or US history, but thats pretty hard to do…
As a math and science person, my perspective is probably pretty skewed as well, and I feel like the only SURE things are the science subject tests.

It really depends on what you’re GOOD at, and when i say GOOD, i mean like a guaranteed 5 on the AP test for that subject if you’re aiming for an 800.

Haha that’s chem and calc. I’m not much of a social person. I’ll just study hard for the next two weeks and hope for the best on the world test. We’re not doing anything in school anymore, anyway.
