Question about self-studying AP Gov in Junior year.

Hey buddies. I am shooting for AP Nat scholar (I am a junior). I already took WHAP last year, and I am taking 4 APs this year. This means I need to self-study 3. I had chosen Euro, Comparative Gov, and Human Geo, but I do not think I have the time to study for Euro and do good in everything else I gotta do.

I've heard Gov is not super hard. Is this true? I am taking APUSH at the moment so maybe that will give me a good background for it.

Problem: AP Gov is a senior class at my school. I can take the test now, but will taking the AP Gov test in junior year and then taking the actual class senior year look bad for colleges in any way?

If not, then yay. What are the best prep books/methods to get a 4/5 on AP Gov?

Bump! Someone has to know :D

Well, it won’t look bad, but quite honestly, it’s rather pointless. Why would you study for an AP test (and take it!) and then take the actual class with the purpose of taking the AP test? Instead, either study for a different AP (as in, AP Comparative Gov’t rather than US Gov’t, or easier APs like Psychology, Human Geography, etc) or don’t take AP Gov senior year (unless it’s beyond your control and is mandatory).

I’m already self-studying AP Comparative Gov, taking AP Psych as a class, and self-studying Human Geo. I just want to try getting National AP Scholar and there’s no other test I can successfully self-study for.

I’ll keep thinking about it.
