Question about semester before transferring

Hi this is my last semester before I transfer to a UC.

My GPA is around 3.3 and I currently have 72 units.

I need to take 1 more class to finish my pre req and with that class, my units will be 77.

Will it be okay if I only take 5 units during the last semester (spring) before I transfer in the fall?

Will this affect my admission in any way when they see that I am not a full time student during my last semester?

Thanks!

I don’t think it would matter as long as you completed all your pre-req and IGETC.

bump anyone else have an opinion?

It won’t matter. Just do what you need to do to complete the transfer process and you’ll be good to go. UCs don’t care about how many units you’re taking in the spring semester before transfer.

Only UC Davis cares about what you do in the Spring semester prior to transfer. And even then, they don’t care that much. It’s just frowned upon to not be enrolled as a full-time student.

For UC Davis, isn’t it just for TAG? Do they care for regular admission as well?

This can be a bit of a tricky one, as far as I’m concerned most UCs (speaking behalf of the 5 UCs I applied to) don’t care if you are full-time; however, a counselor recommended to me to be full time because many of the really good scholarships that are out there for transfer students either want or require you to be a full time student.

^This is true. Most of the good scholarships require you to be full-time.

Full time when they are at the UC or the semester before?

it shouldn’t matter
