Question about Sending All Scores Requirement

With the send all scores requirement, am I allowed to send in the ACT and Subject Tests but not the SAT I, even if took the SAT?

Yale addresses this issue very clearly on their website: http://admissions.yale.edu/standardized-testing

Thank you for clarifying!

We have a very similar question:

Son has sent complete score reports from both College Board and ACT to Yale. He would like to fulfill the testing requirements using ACT, but also to show his two best Subject test scores. Is it correct to fill out ACT scores and just two subject tests on the Common App? (even though he has 2 SAT reasoning and 4 SAT subject tests in the full report)

BTW, while @gibby 's link is clear, it does seem to somewhat contradict this from Yale’s website http://admissions.yale.edu/faq/standardized-testing#t186n1779 :

Q: What test results should I report to Yale?
A: You must report the scores of all of the SATs and any SAT Subject Tests you have taken, or all of the ACTs and ACT Writing Tests that you’ve taken. If you choose to fulfill the testing requirement with SAT scores, then it is not necessary to send any scores from the ACT, even if you have taken the ACT. If you choose to fulfill the requirement using the ACT, you do not need to send us any SAT scores unless you wish to do so. Whichever type of test you choose to send to Yale, you must report all of your scores from every time you have taken that type of test. And if you choose to use a combination of SAT and ACT test results, you must report all scores from both testing agencies.

it’s too late to fulfill the testing requirement just using the ACT, as your son already sent complete score reports from the SAT and ACT to Yale.

Yale does not participate in score choice for one very good reason - the College Board charges for it and this places at a disadvantage students who cannot afford to take multiple tests or who can’t afford the extra money to do score choice. I work with the Alumni Schools Committee doing interviews and this question is often raised and this is the answer we were told to give applicants. I think it is good. Yale will look at your scores at take the top ones to combine to get the score they will use.

Hope this helps.

I did not know that @Tperry1982  That is so cool that Yale is committed to levelling the socioeconomic playing field
