On my transcript, all of my classes had an A and above (UM GPA of 4.0). Due to college stuff my grades have slightly dropped this second marking period, as I have mainly A's but one A-. I know my UM GPA would still remain a 4.0, but should I still send in my first semester grades and could they even better my chance at admission?

Send it in. For a person with a 4.0, there’s not much more for you to do. At this point, your best bet is demonstrating interest to the university. Sending your updated grades is simple gesture stating that you are still interested in attending the University of Michigan. Best of luck to you!

@Miw140 Ok thanks.

If Michigan is a top choice school for you, you may want to email your admissions counselor expressing your interest. It truly can help.

@Miw140 Yeah I plan on doing that, but I was told do so the second week of January as that’s when the admissions counselors will supposedly return from break.

Yeah, it’s better to give them some time. Good call.
