Hey, I wanted to fill out the online app for part one and send Part II by paper (with personal statements, activity list, etc.) I had a few questions --

Can I print the essays and such and just attach them, and write in the space for the essays “please see attached paper for essay”

Or do I have to print them, cut them out, and glue them in the space provided and make sure they fit into that.

Also for the activity list, I already created a resume and wanted to attach it. Can I just write in the space provided, “please see attached resume” or should I print the page and cut it out and paste it in the box, etc.

I greatly appreciate your help, thank you!!

I sent part I online & part II by paper. For the essays, I pasted them into the space provided on the app and for the activity list, I put "See Attached" and then paper clipped my activity list & "essay" (just 3 paragraphs about my most important ECs) to the app. I got accepted, btw.

For my essays I printed them out on top of the lines..so it matched up - kind of a pain in the ass, but it looked good. For some of the shorter ones I just put *see attached though. I dont think they really care that much as long as it's organized and they can find all the information easily.

The problem is my Why Brown is REALLY too long :| But I cannot explain why I want to go to brown in 1500 characters! Is it bad if it is too long? its about 450 words or 2700 characters. I dont know what to do about this - shorten it or leave it long and risk it.

My Why Brown essay was about 350 words and I used a 9.5 (random I know lol) size font for it to fit. As long as it isn't too small to the point where it can't be read, I think any font size will work fine.

Maybe it'd be best if you cut down your Why Brown essay just a bit, but if that's not possible, then you could just attach it. If you're interested, I can read it for you and give you advice on what to cut out, but that's up to you. Hope that helps some.

Yeah my Why Brown was also reallly long...probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-500 words. I just put the part that would fit on the lines and then wrote (see attached) at the end. I wouldn't cut it down if you've got a lot to say...a contact in the admissions office told me that was one of the parts they really looked at, to see if you were really going to be a good match etc. Anyway it seemed to work for me!
