Question about sending SAT scores

I have two questions.

My first question: As you all know, there's a thing called "score choice" where you can select your best score to send. But on most or some college applications, they ask you to name how many times you have taken the SAT's (the date and the score you got). If I'm just going to send only one score (my best one), should I just list only ONE DATE and the best score I got? (So if the best score I got was taken in June, I would just say I have taken the SAT's only in June, no other months) .... because really, what's the point of LISTING all the months/dates you've taken the SAT's, and the scores you got when your going to send only one best score from collegeboard? Know what I mean?

My second question: When you send your SAT scores, can you send your best combined out of all the times you've taken it? My friend told me you can do that but I think he's either clueless or just completely stupid. He said for example, if I got a 590 on Math, 560 on Reading, and 600 on Writing on my first SAT and on the second SAT, I got a 550 on Math, 620 on Reading, and 610 on Writing on my second SAT, I can choose my best combined out of the two tests. (So, 590 Math + 620 Reading + 610 Writing). Is he right? Can you really do that?

IF the college does score choice then list only the one date. Your friend is wrong. Many schools superscore(take the best of each section) but the college board doesn’t. That is why there isn’t much of an advantage to score choice unless one of your test dates was really really bad. Sending all your scores for the advantage of superscoring is usually the best plan. good luck

^I didn’t do that well on the SAT’s. On the June SAT’s, I got a 490 CR/510 Math/640 Writing … 1000/1600, 1640/2400 … On the October SAT’s, I got a 440 CR/540 Math/650 Writing … 980/1600, 1620/2400 … obviously the June one is better (but not by a lot) … so should I just send the June score or send both the June and October scores? What do you guys recommend for me?
