<p>I'm in Canada and I'm going to be taking my SAT on May 1 of my grade 11 year. If I send in my scores to the colleges I want to apply to immediately with collegeboards 4 free reports, the colleges won't have my application yet. What happens with those scores if they don't have an application to match it to, do they just hold onto it?</p>
<p>Yes, they hold onto it. They also hold onto other parts of your application, so you don’t have to send all your materials in one folder when you apply to colleges. The purpose of the free reports is to encourage early sending.</p>
