Question about senior grades and GPA?

<p>Hey everyone
Just wondering, will colleges take my first semester senior grades that they will receive from mid year reports and add the grades onto my GPA and then consider me for admission? Or will they just consider my current (9th-11th) GPA?
That would be awesome if my first semester senior grades counted toward my overall GPA that my colleges will see.</p>

<p>And another quick question! For average GPA stats for college admissions, do they represent 9th-12th (1st semester) grades or 9th-11th grades?</p>

if not, why they ask for them?</p>
