Question about senior year...

If I take my senior year at Santa Barbara City College, instead of at my high school, how will colleges look at this? I had about a 4.0 Weighted my first two years. I want to apply to UCSB, UCLA, Pepperdine, Pomona...

Evan93023, I am not sure how the UCs will look at it, hopefully someone with more experience will answer but I would be careful about how many credits you would be entering into college with. There may be an issue where you would be considered a transfer student instead of an enrolling freshman. If you have enough credits that they would be considering you a transfer student, the UCs may want you to wait until you have 2 years at SBCC. You might check with someone at SBCC, they should be very familiar, at least with the UCs. Does your high school offer any dual enrollment? In other words, could you take some classes at SBCC and still be enrolled in your HS? My son took classes at another CC in CA and was able to enter college with a full semester of credits but he was still considered a freshman applicant because the classes were dual enrollment.

yes, i can take one class at high school, and 3 at college per semester

evan, are you planning on taking 100% of your classes at the SBCC? or taking some in high school and some in college?

maybe one at my high school, just so I am enrolled in HS

They'll look at it the same way they look at the AP exams.
It will do you good.

Yup go for it. Just make sure for the UCs that the SBCC classes are on the UC transfer list.
