I'm going to take ACT this Saturday and take it again in October..
but would it lower my chance of getting in if get lower score in October than September??
Do the colleges usually look at the highest ACT composite score when they look at my application?

I think you choose only one score report to send right? It takes about a week to send ACT scores once you receive them, I would first look at them before sending. You might have time with October to view before choosing to send.

But to answer your questions, colleges won't immediately turn you down if you don't improve. Are you going to send both score reports blindly though? Usually they just take one composite because that's all people usually send, but yeah they'll take the highest composite.

yeah. you can wait to send the scores (costs money though). you can pick and choose which act scores to send to colleges, unlike the SAT.

a few colleges will mix and match ACT scores, but its rare. If you want to use Score Choice to its fullest, go back into registration and delete teh college names for the Sept test. Also, delete your HS name if your HS puts test scores on transcripts. Do not list colleges on the Nov registration either.

Then, you will see all scores first, adn can decide which test date to send. But, yes, it costs more money that way.

but I have to send scores by November 1st to one of the colleges..
