Question about sororities in Cornell!!

<p>Hi! I'm a sophomore in Korea. (It's South, not north. Suprrisingly a lot of people ask me "which side" I'm from which is kind of ridiculous)</p>

<p>Anyway, I want to apply to Cornell in the future, and if possible i want to join sorority!</p>

<p>Is it difficult to be a member of a sorority if you're asian? I mean, there aren't any greek society in my country so all I know about Sorority is from movies lol(U know, traditional rich white, blond girls). and no offense, but lots of american people(of course not all but..) still discriminate people by colours. I mean i really hope cornell isn't like that, after all it is like my dream university.</p>

<p>And second question, are most sororities really like those in movies?( like i said, traditional rich white, blond girls, parties etc) I do like parties though lol</p>

<p>Sororities and Fraternities are unfortunately mostly still divided racially. The older organizations are still primarily white, while you have newer organizations that tend to emphasize diversity OR are interested in a single minority group.</p>
