okay so I've participated in Cross country since the 7th grade so i will have 6 years of that...and so far i have done track every year too. Will it look bad to a college [University of Delaware primarily] if i decide NOT to do track and field this spring and just work and focas on my studies? Or should i definatly do he track thing?

I think you should stay with track because most colleges don't like, when an applicant stops something.

I don't agree with that at all. Do track if YOU WANT TO! College athletics is another step above high school so if you're willing to do the work and want to do the work - do it. The school won't be looking down on you for that.

Kb07dc what i meant is should i do track in my senior year of highschool? i most definatly do not want to do it in college and i am not rly interested in track but i feel that if i dont do it colleges will see me as a quitter

you should stick with it your senior year. that looks best in the admissions office.

but when in college you can ditch it. once you're in, you're in... who cares if the college is disappointed... as long as you keep your grades up you're staying.

track is a spring sport, right? how will anyone know that you're not competing this spring--won't you already be accepted (or not)?

wBow im only a junior in highschool.....so colleges with definatly know
