On the Common App, in the last part of supplements, there's usually a section for "additional info." There was no limit given for characters or words. So can I write another essay about myself?

yes, in theory u could. but dont. think about the poor adcoms that have to read all this.. tons of applicatoins, most of the time, and they probably procrastinate a lot. so, adding another essay might make them grumpy, which u defintely don't want.

Additional information on the Common App, at my school, usually means explaning extenuating circumstances, like suspensions, absences, etc.

i think that's for if you got hit by a bus and couldn't complete your junior year or got arrested or something. I wouldn't write another essay if it doesn't ask for it.

although, on duke, they give space for an extra letter of recommendation. maybe you could do that?

I wrote that I had pnemonia and was absent for 2 weeks. No other explanation. Then I put down my 2 ap scores, in list form.

Probably dont want to go by me though.
