Question about Switching from L&S to CCS

I applied for Physics in Letters and Sciences and received the reception invitation (LA area one) and we were told we were admitted etc. there. However, I realize now that I should have applied to CCS for Physics, as their track is harder and a better preparation for research and graduate school (which is my goal). Here are my questions:

Does anyone have any idea how (un)likely it may be at this point to try and switch into CCS?

I plan on attending the 6-week summer program August 2nd-September 14th, anyone have any experience with how this may help with finding research to work in pretty quickly?

What are the biggest differences between CCS Physics and L&S Physics and is one "better" than the other?

Are Physics classes for Physics majors smaller or more intensive by default, as they're required for the major? (I ask because UCR accepted me and offered accelerated 8-unit intro physics classes my first year that were capped at 25 students/class)

Thanks!

Call them. One of the things they pride themselves in is being more personal than the large U. They can answer your questions, put you in touch with a current student, etc.

This is how to apply http://www.ccs.ucsb.edu/admissions/
