Question about switching majors when i just got accepted

I just got my acceptance letter to University at Buffalo for the Buisness Program but after my stay here on CC i want to switch to Engineering. If i switch to Engineering, will my application start over from scratch and not get accepted?

Thanks Eric

you should call/email the school. They'll be able to give you the best answer.

i think what's more important is, if i read this correctly, the fact that you decided to switch your major based on what people on a message board have written. and you haven't been to college yet.

It may be easier to switch after your first semester/year. During your first year, take courses you'd need for the engineering major. In the fall, meet with your adviser and ask him/her how to initiate the switch.

No, i am a transfer student. Not only what people say on the forum, i also feel that i like engineering over business now.

Ah, well, a transfer student is handled differently. You will need to call the school and ask whether it is possible to transfer from business to engineering. Some schools, like UNC, admit all transfers to the general college and then you have to apply to business or arts and sciences or journalism or whatever. If you applied to a school that admitted you directly into their business program, then you may have to reapply to engineering. If application deadlines for engineering have passed, then you may have to wait until the next admissions cycle. You'll have to call the school and ask.

What if this will only be my secound year in college? I am only a freshman now.

Nobody can answer your questions without more information and it would be much easier for you to just CALL THE SCHOOL and ask them.
