Question About TAG Agreement

Hello, my question is about the TAG agreement, I was wondering when do they usually respond to students who have applied online. From what I researched, you apparently are notified late October, can anyone verify this. Oh, and one more question about my admittance chance

I have a 2.74 GPA, but currently I worked my ass of this semester and will be receiving all A's in my classes, raising my GPA 3.07, by the end of Fall.

Volunteered at a hospital for 100+ hours

Had a part-time job

Finished two semesters of Organic Chemistry and other assist.org suggestions

I know my GPA is horrible since it is 2.74, but when I was reading up on the school I want to go to, their TAG agreement states "You must earn a cumulative 3.0 minimum UC GPA earned by the end of Fall term 2010 and maintained through the end of Spring term 2011." So what will be my case? And what are the chances do you believe of me getting into UCSD. I am a Chemistry/Biochemistry Major which is not impacted.

I heard that they send you a rescinding admission and that if you fail to meet the requirements such as maintain a gpa of 3 from fall to spring, they decline your admission.

Hi Dashtiani,

The TAG app you filled out last month is not being reviewed by UCSD. When you submit you general UC app next month, you will check a box at the beginning stating that you’re applying as a TAG student. After UCSD receives your general UC app, they’ll issue you an admissions decision with the rest of the transfers somewhere around March/April of next year. That being the case, you won’t know in October whether or not you’ve been accepted. You will find out in March/April, but not sooner.

If you have a 3.0 minimum, you should be fine since it’s a non-impacted major. Just make sure you get there by this fall and do NOT dip below a 3.0 for the remainder of the year. Also, you need to be sure that your math and English requirements will be completed by the end of this semester.

And yes, if you dip below a 3.0, you’ll be denied admission. If you dip below after being accepted, it’ll be rescinded.
