<p>So I'm applying to Duke, Northwestern, Cornell, WashU, and Columbia. </p>
<p>Duke requires two teacher recs that say they should be from at least two years ago. Does that mean that I can get one from sophomore year? Or am I only restricted to my junior and senior year. </p>

<p>Well strictly speaking, two years ago means two years from today, so like… 12/8/2008 or later lol. You could ask Duke’s admissions office but I’m pretty sure they’d want junior and senior year recs as they’re the most current reflection of your school performance. Even disregarding the restriction, I’d still want to pick my junior and senior teachers.</p>
