@saintfan - I’d give Temple the benefit of the doubt on this one. We visited last summer, and IIRC, they allow people to bump up to the next merit award if their final semester grades qualify them. I can’t promise I’m remembering that correctly, but I remember being impressed at how flexible they seemed. They are all pretty excited about these new scholarships and the whole “Temple-Made” campaign. Their honors program also is incredibly active and supportive.

Thanks! Of course Saintkid has to do his part but I have been agonizing over hundreths of grade points. I am especially sensitive this week as I witness the application bloodbath that is happening with some regular decision denials and accept/reject aid packages.

I love that you call him “Saintkid”! I think I should start calling mine MWstringkid

Ha! That would be Saintkid with halo slightly askew and looking up whistling
O:-) + :-" + :(|) + :> + B-) + :D/ . . . yep, that’s my boy
Me, on the other hand = X_X + $-) + :-@ (the hand) + :!! + ~X( + #:-S . . .

I just wanted to add that I live in Philadelphia and one of my kids goes to Temple, although not in music (she is graduating from Tyler, the school of art next to Esther Boyer.) She transferred to Temple from a private college and it was one of the best decisions she ever made. I did not know much about Temple prior to her experience, but she’s been very happy there.

D just received her big acceptance packet from Temple in today’s mail - wow, so impressive. My favorite thing is the part where they say even if tuition goes up during your 4 years, or if you switch to a more expensive school/college within Temple, it won’t affect you since you have full tuition!

woot woot! Great news!
