Question about testing requirements!

Hey guys,

Lets say College X (like Stanford or CMU) doesn't allow you to use score choice and requests that you send ALL your SAT and ACT scores. If I choose to apply using my ACT score, that means I will have to send the scores in from both of my test dates (I took it twice). But does that mean that I'll have to also send all of my SAT scores as well, even though I'm not applying with them?

Thanks!

There are two factors for standardized testing: testing requirements and reporting requirements. Sometimes they are the same and sometimes they are not, depending on what the school asks for and which test(s) the applicant has taken. Reread these passages again carefully, note my italics:

While your ACT fulfills Ss testing requirement, you need to send both ACT and SAT to fulfill their reporting requirement.

Your ACT fulfills both CMUs testing and reporting requirements.

That is actually pretty convoluted cause some colleges aren’t specific with their word choice… :(

They seem pretty clear to me, but I’ve been reading testing requirements and score reporting policies since before Score Choice was an option.
