Question about the AMSCO APUSH Exam Prep book

I've decided to purchase a book to prepare me for the APUSH test, but actually, I want to use it to help me in class. I'm getting 60's and 70's on the weekly quizzes about the chapters. It's not that I don't read, it's that I don't really comprehend. The American Pageant book can't keep my attention. So, I just skim through it. I was lucky to end last semester with a B.

Is it okay to buy last year's version of AMSCO's APUSH Exam Book? I can't really find it anywhere on the internet, except used. Is it okay if I buy it used? Does anybody have any sources to buy it used? Is it easy to understand? Compare it to American Pageant(piece of crap to me). Let's say hypothetically, could I read only the AMSCO review book, and do well on the AP test?

BTW, is AP Euro History easier or is it about the same level? It takes me about an hour to read a chapter, and I don't know if I should take it next year.

Crap, actually, do you guys think I should get the REA review book? I heard the AMSCO review book doesn't have the answers. So it'll be no use to me, since I don't want to go through the book getting half the questions wrong, and studying badly.

get the Amsco Review Book...the answers for the new one are at

Yes buy it! Doesn't matter if its an older version. Check your local library as well. it is easy to understand but don't solely rely on it- you will need more information for certain things. HOWEVER, AMSCO does a great job putting things into perspective and the basic info.

I just bought a used copy of it from Amazon. I hope I can get an "A" this semester.

AP Euro is different in style from AP US History. In US you focus on various aspects of one country and go in depth about each aspect. In AP Euro, you bounce from country to country, and usually don't have time to go too in depth. Unless you already have some solid knowledge about European History, it can be challenging. Of course, this may just be that my teacher is really hard.
