for most UC they say they will inform us between mid Mar. and Apr. 29th. my question is that will they send out the admission letter/email by the alphabetic order of your last name or what? so if my last name starts with 'y', does that mean I will receive the admission almost by the end of the Apr.??damn I can't wait for that long...

I sure hope that's case, cuz my last name starts with an A.

Nope. Each school has a different system. At UCLA, its usually done on a rolling basis by major (last year comm majors and a few other knew first, others found out a few days later, and the last of the applicants found out maybe a week after the rest). Some other schools send them all out at once.

Also, some schools (san diego, irvine i think, riverside) release them earlier than the schools with higher application rates (Berkeley and UCLA were both very late April/early May last year)

*Don't hold your breath on March for any of the schools, however. They like to start transfer admissions after all of the freshmen have been notified. This means early April at the very soonest.

From personal expirience(applied last year as a HS Senior)

Each school has a specific date where everyone can check online. No two UC have the same date. UCR, SC, and UCD were first to release decisions online. Proly cause got least applicants. UCLA, UCB were last to release.

i see
tks guys
