Question about the definition of extracurriculars

By the end of the summer I will have worked over 100+ hours doing hard labor at a nearby farm. This is a job not volunteer service. I was wondering if this would be a typical thing to list on a college application when the time comes (I'm only an incoming sophomore).

put it under work experience

Will something like this look good on application or will college admission personnel merely glance over it?

i’d say it shows dedication, but always remember to o something because you enjoy it, not just because it looks good

Ok great thanks

List it. It’s good.
The CA says: Please list your principal extracurricular, volunteer, and work activities in their order of importance to you.

Frankly, it’s not all about enjoyment- some of what you “should” be engaged in is about the responsibilities and your understanding of their value. They want you to make wise choices, too, not just pleasurable ones.

ps. if you learned something from this experience, it may make a good essay.
