Question about the FPF

How do we know if we reserved a spot in FPF? The FPF thing now says it is full but I got a check mark next to my Enroll in FPF box and I received this check mark long before it said it was full, so am I reserved?

Also, how often do FPF students get housing? What happens if I dont get housing? (I live in SoCal)

I am assuming that they have already received the quota # of admits for this program, thus, if you have a check next to that FPF box, you should be in.

FPF students don’t get priority housing. I went through the same experience as you, demoz. The website stated the FPF program was full and anyone entering after this is going to be put on a waitlist. They will email us, hopefully, but that may not happen, considering the amount of FPF students.

Yes, you are fine. Last year, I never received an e-mail explicitly saying I was enrolled, but was told the check mark is confirmation.

As far as housing, if you don’t get university housing, there are a number of facilities that I like to call private dorms that operate in much the same manner as the regular dorms but are owned by private entities. They accept all students, regardless of FPF status. Most of them are pretty nice and may even be cheaper. Unless you wait until the very last minute, you should be able to get housing in one of these places if you don’t get into the regular dorms.

Thanks for the information guys, I’m glad that I turned it in early to reserve a spot in FPF.

Anyways, how many FPF students usually get housing by the university? I would prefer to be in the regular housing than the private ones.

chances of getting university housing are probably 50/50, but if you don’t get housing or if you get housing you don’t want, you can just bug the housing ppl until they let you switch
