Question About the Global History Regents

Kay so for the thematic essay, I wrote about the Mongol technologies of gunpowder and jerkey. Yeah. Jerkey. And I was wondering if it was acceptable? I pretty much talked about how the Mongolian warriors could take an entire cow and efficiently carry it around during war in the form of a jerkey.

My friends told me I was stupid, but I think it should count.

So what do you guys think? :/

Jerkey? Do you mean Jerky? As in the food or am I missing something??
If you read some of the sample regents essays, they’re actually not that good. I feel like the regents is such an easy grader, that you could probably get away with almost anything. But the thematic essay was about technology…how is jerky (if you’re talking about the food) a form of technology? I always stick with their recommended essay topics…I chose printing press and nuclear weapons. I think that your gunpowder choice is definitely fine, though. I’m sure even if it wasn’t the best thing to write about, you still did fine. How was multiple choice for you? I screwed up a couple of questions but other than that I think I did okay.

I was iffy about like two of the multiple choice questions but I’m generally good with those. But I emphasized on their process of making jerky, not the fact that they had jerky (Yeah, I meant jerky - sorry about that). Their technology was in that they discovered the ability to carry food to war more efficiently. And that was in the form of jerky.

Oh the process of making the jerky…I thought you actually meant the food, haha! I’m sure that’s fine then! You’ll definitely be okay with that.

Haha, it didn’t work. My teacher said I got a 2 on my thematic essay and if I didn’t write about jerky I would’ve gotten a 100 on the Regents.

Oh well. :P

Oh no!!! :frowning: That’s such a shame!!! But you still did AMAZING. I know that I got a couple of MC questions wrong, so I’m sure I did worse then you. I’ll let you know when I get my grade :)
