I was originally planning to take the Math II test after taking a semester of AP Calculus, but because of some scheduling conflicts I was forced to take an online AP Stat class. Will this have any impact on my prep for Math II? I was hoping Calc would fortify my math skills, and it seems Statistics takes a different approach.

Impact ??? Are you trying to ask whether the Statistics class would prevent you from doing well on Math II test??? Taking Stats per se will not stop you from doing well on the test. However, the calc would probably provide some useful knowledge.

P.S. Who cares what class you take, just get a couple of Prep books (SAT Math 2 by Barrons seems to get a lot of praise on this board ).

how hard is the math 2 test? im not sure if ill have time to study for it until october because thats when im taking my last SAT so i dont think ill do well with just a month prep :/

Math 2 doesn’t cover anything beyond PreCalc, so it doesn’t matter if you’re going to take Calc or Stats. Just review algebra, geometry, and precalc.

I took math II the june after finishing pre-calc and got an 800. if you get a book with practice tests and study its really not that bad. (don’t get barron’s though, it has wayyyy more stuff than you need to ace the test).
