If I am applying to the Jerome Fisher Program do I have to include a discussion about extracurricular, academic, and research with the Engineering school AND with Wharton? Or can I just write about Wharton and talk about my interest in engineering in the business + technology essay? Thanks!

Even though they’ll be reading your entire application, remember that you still have to address the prompt. For the general UPenn essay, I would recommend something about UPenn in general, with references to Jerome Fisher. For the Jerome Fisher essay, you have to include both business and technology, otherwise you’re failing to address the prompt.

I will include references to business and engineering in the JFP essay. I just didn’t include a reference to engineering in the general Penn essay. I did discuss my extracurricular, academic, and research interests, except mainly with respect to Wharton and the general Penn community. Should I change it?

I also want this question answered…how “general” should we be with the Penn supplement? Is it advisable to include specific project ideas that we hope to explore at Penn?

I think that the aim of the supplement is to be specific about why UPenn is the best choice for your needs. What’s unique about Penn that draws you to it? And how will you utilize that uniqueness?

That’s how I took it, at least.

Please, if anyone has anything to contribute to this discussion, please do. I’m applying to jerome fisher as well. Would I focus my “general Penn” app more on wharton since that’s my single degree alternate? if I get rejected from jfp, would they still read my jfp essay when considering admission for wharton?

C’mon, somebody on this forum MUST know the answer to our questions!
