I’m not applying to McIntire (I’m a second year at UVA), but I know of people who are applying who are current students at UVA. So you could apply to UVA, start here and apply during your 2nd year. Or, you could go somewhere else and apply from elsewhere.

I think you have very nice qualities: Solid SAT’s, strong rank, rigorous course load, interesting EC’s. I see you getting in at Cornell, U of M, Emory. UVA is a toss up, strong chance though.
I don’t see you as getting into Wharton, or Berkley. I don’t know enough about NYU to give you an educated answer.
That’s my take on things, but don’t take me too seriously either, no one knows anything until you try. If you never try…well, then…you know…

Your Persian (Iranian-I presume) background could work to your advantage, but I’m not certain about that.

thank you for the response

anyone other opinions??

I’m not too familiar with admissions and the whole University, but I know the business school is extremely competitive as it is basically the best and is very small compared to most others. Your class rank and SATs are decent but your aps are very good along with great ecs and I’m pretty sure being persian will help

NYU looks well within reach.

McIntire is separate application in your sophomore year of college. Not a lock a current UVA will always be accepted.

Yay I am Iranian too
Your rank and SATs are a little low but I think you can get into all those schools except for Berkeley. Your Iranian heritage should help alot. Good luck

are u sure being iranian would help? cause we arent considered minorities. or would it contribute to the diversity of the school if i write about it in one of my essays?

McIntire is a two year program, so your first two years have to be CAS.

I think that’s how it goes; my brother graduated from McIntire.

You can only apply to McIntire as a student of UVa; you apply during your second year. When applying as an incoming first year, you apply to CLAS or SEAS, depending on what else you want to study. If you’re also interested in engineering, then you apply to SEAS. If not CLAS. During your second year at UVa, you are eligible to apply to the Comm school.
