Question about this whole finaid issue

so to everyone who's been speculating about these emails and whatnot.... those of you who got the first email saying you were missing something: after you sent it in, did the status of your docs change on the tracker or have some of you guys not had them changed? if it didnt, did you contact the financial aid office, and if you did, were you ignored or did they update it or what? i'm reallly curious about this =0

oh well, less than two days till decisions.... good luck everyone!

and if you could kinda give a timeline of how/when things happened, that’d be nice too

who cares!?!?! just wait :D

Actually, I care:) Cause I got an email saying your missing your css/profile, and I wrote to the collegeboard, they say they’ve posted it. I wrote twice to the FAO at Columbia. They ignore me. And my stats have never changed…:frowning: Pessimistic and speculation:rejected. But I don’t think that email=accepted thing is true anyway.

^Yes, I found it a little tenuous to link FA missing documents with admission, though for those who got many emails requesting missing stuff, there could be some indication…

and if you got several emails, how long after the first email were they sent? and how long after they updated the status on the website did you get the “fin aid stuff complete” email?

bump
10char

I didn’t receive an updated status either. The date says 11/17 o_O

the reason im asking is because my status was finally updated a few days ago, but i never received any confirmation emails afterwards…

my status was updated the day i faxed in my form, but i never recieved a confirmation either. Just relax and wait…less than 24 hours and we’ll know for sure. and we can reach a verdict about whether FA notification is indicative of admission!
