Question about time.

I just asked for an interview form because I had my interview 2 weeks ago. How long will it take for them to get that I took an interview? Also I sent in my mail about a 4-5 w/ the recommendations. Does this take longer as well?

what is an interview form?

Like if your interviwer never filled out the form for an interview, you just put int he day you had the interview and ur intervewier name. How long does it take to be processed?

It took almost a month for my interview status to update on MyMIT....however, my interviewer is notorious for waiting a while before writing the report (so i've heard....). If you want, you could email interview at mit. edu and see if they reply.

Email my EC?

oh, you could try that too (in fact, that's how I contacted my EC initially). When I gave that email address though, i really mean use the word "interview@" (im not writing it out to avoid bots sending them spam). I guess that's the email you want to use if you have questions regarding interviews, not the regular admissions email address

Wait.. I have a question again. How long does it take other forms to get it(evaluations A B etc.)? This is really annoying and worrying me........... because I sent evaluation a 5 days ago. It had the stamp on the topright, my name top left, and all the address info in the middle. i think I did something wrong. To people who already have this. how long did it take you?

Oh yea do we have to do rush scores or normal score time (normal is like 3-5weeks... it says rush is 2 days but that is 27 dollars more!!).

DONT DO RUSH....they always say not too, and supposedly, it really doesnt get there any faster.....stupid CollegeBoard trying to steal your money.

And give it about two weeks to show up....they're probably getting a whole bunch of apps right now, so it may take a while for them to file it.

Well i decided I am going to call them tomorrow... what number should i use? i filled out an interview form 2 days ago and sent in that mail 5 days ago. I am worrying now. It hasn't shown up.

And wow. My first teacher who I asked a month ago to do it.. hasn't even started. I am going to go ask her please to do tomorrow and send it... man if that piece of mail is lost... i am done for >.<. And if that interview thing doesn't come in soon, I will be ripping my hair out.

Oh and another question. I don't have to do the mid-year thing right now right? So do I only send that in if i get into MIT? I am just wondering this right now... Please someone answer my questions. I am so insecure.

You will need to send the mid-year report if you are accepted or if you are deferred, but you don't need to send it now.

If you search for "admissions" in the "offices" search box on web.mit.edu, it will lead you to the freshman admissions phone number.

Still, it's not entirely terrifying that stuff hasn't shown up yet. After all, real people have to open all the mail, file it, and update your account.

Ok I checked today. The interview is there. Evaluation A is not. So does mail travel over the weekend or is it only buisness days.

what happens if your teacher is late with your reccommendation? Do you get pushed into Regular decision.

How late are we talking? A week? Two months?

Everybody should go check out Ben and Matt's blogs from this time last year (and two years ago, too, if you're interested). They give a very good overview of the timeline involved in decisions -- for example, last year reading began Nov 8, but selection did not begin until Dec 2.

Obviously it's a good thing if your whole application is at MIT by the deadline -- after all, that's why there's such a thing as a deadline. But the next month will be spent reading applications, and the actual decision-making process won't start until early December.

I was thinking about a week. My teacher is kind of flaky, so who knows it might get there on time.
