Question about topic (too dramatic/ late)

Hello everyone, I hope all is well.

In June, I joined my town’s first aid squad. There have been a couple of calls I have been on that have really affected me (and I sincerely mean that). I was thinking about whether or not to write one of my essays about one of those calls. I have two fears:

Colleges will see that I wrote my essay about an activity that I have not spent much time on yet and question if I have enough experience to write about the first aid squad.

An essay about saving someone’s life seems too… well, planned. It makes me seem as if I’m trying to take advantage of this experience.

I would love to write about one of my calls, but at the same time, I don’t want to jeopardize my chances for college by trying to seem better than my application might show me to be.

What would you suggest?

As long as you don't sound like an expert it's fine.

If you were truly honest and wrote honestly, it'll show in your essay that you're being genuine.

Make sure it shows more about who you are, though.
