In the Web portal to do list it says to send in official transcript by may 1st. Since my school ends in june, does this mean that it will send my grade at this point in 2nd semester of my senior year, or will it not yet show 2nd semester grades? At the moment I have a high D in a class I’ve been slacking in and so I want to know if I should wait til the last minute before may 1st to get transcripts sent in so it will show up as a c or higher or if it does not matter and sdsu won’t see my semester 2 grades until they’re finalized.
@Jakattack99 - My schools has 2 semesters per school year. Since it’s second semester, first semester grades have been finalized, so I went to my Registrar to obtain a hard copy of my transcript that includes my fall grades, but not my spring grades. The Registrar put it in a transcript with official seals and everything so it can’t be tampered with. I believe that SDSU only accepts electronic transcripts from specific colleges (there is a list on the Steps to Enroll info page). SDSU also wants spring grades, but as you know, those aren’t coming out till the end of the school year. To send spring transcripts, my school requires me to bring an envelope with the SDSU address and stamps before the end of the school year. Also, I think it’s a terrible idea to send transcripts last minute because of unforeseen circumstances and it also takes a couple of days to get to SDSU anyways.
I have already sent my transcripts that include up to my fall grades, so in Status Details, it says ‘Required - Partial Transcript Received, Will Be Required to Provide Final Transcript,’ but there is a green check in the box to the left that is labeled Status. I think before they received my transcript, it said Intent to Enroll Fee paid but documents not complete or something like that, but now it says ‘documents complete.’
I don’t know how different your school is in this process, but my suggestion is to go talk to your counselor to confirm.
If you still aren’t sure, you should just email the Office of Admissions.
Sorry for the verbose response! Shake off the senioritis and get that D up!
deadline to send in final transcripts is late june I believe. Your final grades have not been given yet so after finishing the semester in early June, you can send it on your own as soon as grades are in.
SDSU wants your Mid-year transcript (Fall semester grades) before May 1. After you graduate, you will send in your final transcript with your Spring semester grades. You need to send an official transcript directly from the school for both.
