Hello,

I was a highschool dropout. I then got my stuff together, and attended a few different community colleges. I attended for roughly a year and received a 4.0, except one semester when I was working ~70 hrs./week and I got two B's. I then transferred to a top 50 flagship state school where I have a ~3.8. I'm currently applying to transfer, although I am relatively sure I will not get into the school applied to (yes, the single school). I was curious if it would look bad if I again took a year off from school, considering that I already have a somewhat spotty record of staying in school. I currently have a 2030 on the SAT (rather well distributed if that matters), and will obviously retake if I leave school. I only want to transfer to a top 15 school, because those are the only places I could justify going into debt for. So, 1. would it reflect poorly that I have already left high school, then took my time in CC (I was in a semester out a semester ect...), and now am taking time off again from university? and 2. would I even have a shot? Because, obviously, if I don't I'm not trying to waste my time.
