So i recently got placed in the Waterbury campus :( since there are no dorms at waterbury i was planning on going to Eastern Connecticut state university for a year then transfer to uconn. Will they remeber that I have been accepted to uconn or will i just be a regular applicant. I mean uconn was my top choice, but commuting is not an option for me

The same thing happend to me and I was questioning this too. From what it seems if we get good grades we will be able to transfer. I’m just scared of the risk of not getting back into uconn. I’m curious to see what others say.

Bump, and this is off topic but how do I find out if my eastern credits transfer over to uconn beforehand so I know which courses to choose?

Thanks in advance

You will be applying as just another transfer student. The good news is that they accepted you once, so as long as you do well during your freshman year, there is a good chance you will get accepted again (or into the Storrs campus).

just wrote an appeal letter hopefully i get into Storrs

well, I really don’t know what to choose now cause arent the credits hard to transfer over from eastern to uconn? I mean eastern is a liberal arts college and i would think they would have a small amount of science classes to choose from. Eastern was my safety, so i never really thought i would be going to it. I have been doing some reading on liberal arts colleges and I realize that it is mandatory to take social studies courses?!?

As far as I know, UConn is pretty easy-going with transfer credits.

I don’t know if this is relevant, but UConn and Eastern are both state universities- so they are probably familiar with each other. (and credits) you’re probably not the first to do so.
