I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but I had a question about transferring to UF. I am hoping on being able to transfer to UF, after having obtained my AA from a CC, in the Fall of 2012. My basic question is if I am allowed to apply before I actually obtain my AA. I was looking at the deadline for that semester and it said June 1st, but I wouldn't get my AA until August 15th.

Also, is UF a good school for a double major in Accounting and Finance/or Bus. Management?

-Background Information
I am currently a high school student. I have been dual enrolling for about 2 years now, and have accumulated 35 credits. At the rate I am going, I plan on finishing the 2 classes that I am currently taking and then taking 2 more classes in the spring. That would leave me with three classes for the summer after I graduate. I have a 4.0 GPA so far in CC.

Regarding if UF is a good school for your major I cant answer that for you, but UF is ranked number one public institution in Florida. You can apply any time, but as a transfer you would need to put the courses you will be taken prior to your matriculation at UF. Additionally, you would need to send updated grades to UF every semester.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes you could apply and would have to put in the rest of your current and future schedule. They might accept you outright or more likely under the condition that you finish your AA and maybe achieve minimum GPA in some of the classes. Pretty sure the best way is to apply as soon as you get Fall grades and ship them the Spring and Summer ASAP

Call the admissions office, typically there are different rules for dual enrollment students who will have their A.A. when they graduate high school. IIRC you’ll need to apply as an incoming freshman, but that might just be some other schools in the state, find out by calling.

Well, I won’t have my A.A. by the time I graduate. I will have to spend a summer finishing my A.A., so I assume that I wouldn’t have to apply as a freshman.

What’s your GPA? Accounting studies and finance studies at UF is a limited access major so try to aim for atleast a 3.6 cumulative GPA for a CHANCE to transfer into the program. And make sur you get an A in financial accounting. I just transfered into The fisher scool with a 3.83

Currently my GPA (I didn’t know how to make it UF standard) is a 4.0. I have not received anything lower than an A. My high school GPA is UW 3.7 and W 4.66 (Note: That I plan on raising my GPA this year to a 3.8 and 4.7 respectively.)
