Question about transferring to USC SCA

After my spring 2014 semester, I will have all of the USC GE requirements fulfilled BUT...I won't have the foreign language area covered. Chances are, I won't be able to fulfill that by the time Fall 2014 comes, which is the time I plan to transfer. Does not having that part fulfilled hurt my chances of getting into SCA? It states on the website and brochure that they "recommend" fulfilling all USC GE requirements before transferring. Does this alone hamper my chances?

Thanks :)

Hey android! I transferred to USC SCA last fall and I didn’t have most of my GE’s fulfilled or my last year of foreign language done either and I was still admitted! Just understand it might take you one more semester to graduate. I believe USC is the one that looks at your grades and classes you’ve taken, whereas SCA will look more at your portfolio. Focus on making it very clear why you want to attend USC and really work on your SCA portfolio.

Good luck!

Thanks gestey! That was very helpful and certainly gave me a peace of mind  maybe I’ll see you there come Fall 2014! :)
