I am about to complete my first year of community college studying computer science in NY. In high school i took physics 1 and 2 and got a B in both (8 credits) and intermediate spanish which i got a C+ in (3 credits). Since i have been in community college I have gotten straight As in both semesters (33 credits). I have decent ECs and hope to improve them further over the summer. The two schools that i really want to transfer to is University of Maryland College Park and UC Berkeley. Would it be worth it for me to move to a community college near these schools. (I want to complete my A.S.) I feel like my community college is not well known and won't be taken seriously when i apply. I have been looking at Anne Arundel and it seems like i would really like it there, but would it be worth it for me to transfer. They are one of the four CCs with the Maryland transfer advantage program.Would this help my chances of getting into Maryland and maybe even Berkeley since it is a more well known community college. Please let me know what you think.
