On the UC Site, it says u need 60 UC Transferrable units to transfer. Do the units i get from my UC (UCI) from my AP tests , which is quite a bit, count towards my credits? And realistically. does this mean i could apply to antoher UC (like Berkeley) in my freshman year?

ap credits do count as transferrable units to transfer; however, i do not know if that means you could apply uc to uc freshman year.

Well...The UCs formally grant transfer admission to those who are transferring at the junior level.

I was able to knock out an entire year's worth of transfer credit and will be entering UCI as a junior instead of a sophomorel...So it's not impossible. Just remember to take into account all of the transfer requirements--especially major prerequisites--before you consider transferring out to another UC.

Actually wait, how many units worth of credit do you have in AP tests alone, and how many units will you be taking this fall at UCI? I'm pretty sure that the UCs would require that you have a significant amount of units complete upon the time of application.

uc to uc you can transfer after your first year

oh i had a ****load, which is why i was even considering; i think i had around 56, so I start out easily as a sophomore...

clairesolo, where did you read/find that uc to uc transfers can move after a year.

my dean (10 char)

you can only transfer to uci and ucr as a sophmore... the rest only offer junior admissions.
