Question about UC apps

I cannot find a form anywhere for my counselor. I know UCs don't require teacher recs, but do they not require any transcripts or anything?
I'm sending my application and test scores. I am not sure if I should send anything else.

I think I read somewhere that your counselor doesn't send anything to UCs unless you have enrolled.

So, all high school classes and grades are self-reported and not verified (unless you've enrolled)?
That seems a bit strange.

No transcripts unless requested.

Checkout the website

I wish all schools did this. It would eliminate tons of paper flying across the country and save a lot of time on the part of high schools and applicants. What's wrong with expecting applicants to hoestly report their grades and courses and then only verifying the records of those you admit? Or maybe that is just because my son took classes at 5 schools during high school (including online classes and college classes) and contacting all of those schools is something he keeps putting off. The transcripts are easy enough to order, but it would save a lot of time, money, and natural resources if he only had to send one set to the school he actually ends up attending.
