Question about UC Berkeley Transportation from Fairfield

Hello,
I was wondering is there any good transportation from Fairfield to Berkeley. My boyfriend and I are transfer students for Fall 2015 and were looking into cities that were in between Berkeley and Davis. We found plentiful transportation that goes to UCD in a broad range of time but not much to UCB.

Thus, we were wondering is there other means of transportation to Berkeley without driving there and going on Amtrak. We are fine between Fairfield and Vacaville, unless there are some other good areas. Also, how difficult is it to get transportation from those areas to Berkeley?

We came across the AC Transit, but we’re unable to determine which line to take and how it would work.

Any suggestions and experiences would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Use the public transportation option in Google maps to help you figure this out. If you don’t want to use Amtrak, there are routes by bus only, or by a combination of bus and BART.

Looks like a Fairfield and Suisun Transit #90 express bus connecting to BART will take you just over an hour:

Are you planning a regular commute to Berkeley? You could also look at zimride, Berkeley’s private ride sharing network.
