question about UC classes

If two classes are the same in UC and CC, is the class in UC more difficult?

Generally I believe the classes are designed to accomplish the same objectives. In most cases though, the quality of the class is most impacted by the professor. The institution may play a role, but IMO, the professor plays a greater one.

To directly answer your question, I can assure you in most cases, UC courses are much more difficult.

The materials will be the same, yet the EXAMS will be tough because the professors at UC know that their courses are filled with many smart students but they have to assign grades and to differentiate the performances of their students, they can’t use normal exam, they need hard exams.

I can confirm this from my experience. I went to both CC and UC and also I graded calculus paper for 1 year or so at UC and sometimes professors teaching calculus at my school (UCLA) make their own questions like proving this and that which are harder than the exercises in the book and the exams are much harder than the ones at CC.

In a sense, UC courses : CC courses --Honors/AP course : Regular courses.
